The Ohio E-Check Program requires certain vehicles in seven Ohio counties to be tested for emitting excessive levels of pollutants. If your vehicle requires an E-Check, visit one of Lube Stop's Northeast Ohio locations during regular business hours for this free inspection.
In 1996, the state of Ohio began a new vehicle emissions testing program, E-Check, which is designed to identify motor vehicles that emit excessive levels of pollutants into the air to improve air quality.
Tailpipe emissions from cars and trucks account for at least one-third of the air pollution in the United States and can cause serious health problems. The Ohio E-Check program reduces these harmful emissions by encouraging good vehicle maintenance.
For more information on the program, call 1.800.CAR.TEST or visit www.ohioecheck.org.
Currently, the Ohio E-Check Program requires certain vehicles in seven Ohio counties to be tested, typically once every other year. Find out if your vehicle requires an E-Check or if it's exempt.
All Northeast Ohio Lube Stop locations perform E-Check inspections during regular business hours. No appointments are required for an E-Check, as with all Lube Stop services, and the test should take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
Motorists may receive up to three free tests within a 365-day period. An $18 charge will be required during a fourth test and each additional test thereafter. Only one free passing test is permitted within a 365-day period.
Participation in the Ohio E-Check Program is a natural extension of Lube Stop’s ardent commitment to customer convenience, sustainable business practices and improving the communities in which we operate. Becoming a certified E-Check provider is a great added convenience for our existing customers and gives us an important opportunity to deliver an outstanding service experience to non-Lube Stop customers visiting our locations for the first time.
