Craig Lawver has been with Lube Stop for over 15 years. He says it’s been so long that he can’t even remember what other jobs he had before working here. Craig is from the small town of Louisville, Ohio where he was born and raised. He now lives in North Canton with his girlfriend Heidi. He has a small litter of children. Three girls and then finally a boy - Kennedy age 11, Caseyann age 8, Sahara, age 3 and Chase age 16 months. Not a whole lot of time for hobbies with work and 4 children. Craig does enjoy building, over clocking, and modifying computers in his spare time. Craig thinks the best thing about being a manager is teaching employees about the job. His advice to new employees is to never stop learning, always want to have all the answers, and always try to become better than your manager. Craig says he tries to motivate his employees by having all the answers and being the best and fastest in the shop. He hopes this will motivate his employees to strive to become better then he is. Craig jokes that at his age now he could start to lose the “being the fastest” part of the game. Craig says through the years he has seen a lot of things and has a lot of memories. What sticks out most in his head is when he started with Lube Stop. When he started he was making $4.25 an hour and it only required the removal of one wing nut to replace an air filter. |
